Museum of New MexicoThe worldly possessions of Kit Carson, Florence Dibell Bartlett and other American legends inform the vast Museum of New Mexico Collection of furniture, lighting, bedding and rugs. The designers at T.S. Berry, King Hickory, Berry Creek, Quoizel and Shaw mined the Museum's archives to create the collection, focusing on five historical figures who pioneered and prospered; acquired and explored; trapped and traded. The result is a respectful representation of American's true diversity — Spanish, Italian, Asian, Rustic Frontier and Americana — and the resiliency of these settlers' style sensibility, which resonates today as it did two centuries ago. Kit Carsen Game Table. Kentucky-born adventurer, Kit Carsen, achieved legendary status as a scout, trapper, hunter, soldier and guide to map the West. His favorite piece is represented by the Kit Carsen Game Table. The original piece is shown in the Museum of New Mexico.
![]() ![]() The Cinco Bed. In the earlier Twentieth Century, five young painters, known as “Los Cinco Pintores,” arrived in Santa Fe wishing to differentiate themselves from other artists. The Cinco’s singular style is the inspiration for this bed.
The Seville Bed. The inspiration for this magnificent bed comes from a unique and stately chair in the collections of the Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The bold patterning created by the nail heads and carved rails reflects the distinctive 15th Century Spanish design.
